TIME TO PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT TO JA BIZTOWN
Your students journey begins with JA BizTown in-class learning and culminates with a day-long visit to a fully interactive, simulated town where students operate the economy of a small city. Each student takes on a role such as CEO, CFO, Marketing Director, Sales Manager and others in order to run their businesses, receive paychecks, make bank transactions and shop. They consider saving/spending choices, risk management & insurance strategies, and make personal, career and business-related decisions.
By the end of the JA BizTown experience, students are able to:
- Connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
- Learn their roles as citizens, workers and consumers in their community and relate those roles to the free enterprise system.
- Build money management skills through practical knowledge of economic concepts and banking practices.
- Learn the soft skills necessary to run a successful business, undergo a successful job search and gain an understanding of basic business practices and responsibilities.
