Regional Director, Education Outreach - Southeast Region
The Director of Education – Southeast Wisconsin is the regional education leader responsible for driving JA’s program strategy, implementation, and impact in metro Milwaukee and the Southeast Region. Junior Achievement team members are known for their passion for the JA mission. Impact
The Director of Education – Southeast Wisconsin is the regional education leader responsible for driving JA’s
program strategy, implementation, and impact in metro Milwaukee and the Southeast Region.
This role requires:
• Strategic leadership to expand JA’s reach and deepen mission impact.
• Hands-on program oversight, including the Experiential Learning Center and other in-school and out-ofschool learning experiences.
• Team leadership and accountability, ensuring the education team is high-performing, engaged, and
aligned with organizational and philanthropic goals.
• Community engagement and partnership building to create new opportunities with school districts,
community organizations, and volunteers.
• Volunteer recruitment to successfully deliver on-site and in-classroom programs
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Drive Regional Education Strategy-
• Lead the development and execution of the Southeast Wisconsin education strategy.
• Track and share K–12 education trends and insights with the Leadership Team.
• Cultivate new district-level relationships per quarter; secure new school partnerships
annually.
• Develop custom program proposals aligned with schools’ priorities.
2. Ensure Learning Experience Success-
• Manage and refine the program mix to meet regional impact goals and funder
commitments.
• Expand programming through community partners (e.g., youth-serving organizations)
annually.
• Ensure inclusive program access for all students
• Maintain a strong working relationship with key partner, Milwaukee Public Schools, co-developing success metrics.
3. Set, Measure, and Achieve Education Goals-
• Propose and implement metrics for student impact (instructional time, student outcomes,
and reach).
• Set clear, measurable goals for the education team and hold members accountable.
• Work with the Evaluation team to measure program outcomes and implement
improvements based on teacher, volunteer, and student feedback.
• Partner with the statewide evaluation team to recommend enhancements based on
findings.
4. Lead and Align the Education Team-
• Serve as the direct leader for Southeast Wisconsin education and volunteer staff.
• Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
• Provide regular feedback and coaching to drive performance.
• Maintain a visible, proactive leadership presence, staying connected to the team’s daily
work.
5. Expand JA’s Brand and Partnerships-
• Represent JA in the community to increase visibility and credibility.
• Identify opportunities for new volunteer, business, and education partnership
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
• Regional Education Strategy: Aligned and executed to achieve mission growth in collaboration with the
Leadership Team.
• Learning Experience Success: Programs meet quality standards and participation goals.
• Education Team Performance: Team meets or exceeds established metrics.
• Community and Brand Growth: Measurable increase in partnerships and visibility.

Qualifications (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Education or Business (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in education and staff leadership.
• Demonstrated success in program management, team leadership, and partnership development.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Southeast Wisconsin education systems and community networks.
• Comfort with virtual learning platforms and hybrid work environments
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position currently has a hybrid onsite and remote work model. Onsite work is
required to be a minimum of 60%, i.e. 3 days per week. It is required to be onsite any days there are students
scheduled in JA BizTown or JA Finance Park. This is a critical component of the role, as it directly supports
team collaboration and the delivery of our programing. Onsite presence is necessary to ensure effective
communication, access to specialized equipment or resources, and to maintain the quality and efficiency of job
performance. This requirement may also include working outside of normal business hours as required to
support business needs.
