JA Finance Park: Capstone Experience in Milwaukee, WI

JA Finance Park begins with in-class learning and culminates with a day-long visit to a realistic on-site simulation community where students are assigned a random life experience with a specific career, education, family size, credit score and student debt. They research, shop, and pay for various life categories and balance a monthly budget based on their life category.

 

By the end of the JA Finance Park simulation, students are able to:

• Create and manage a monthly budget.
• Navigate financial decisions through various life stages.
• Understand the financial consequences of life choices and decisions that impact long-term goals.
• Revisit their career goals to see if they will meet their needs for what they envision for their futures.
