JA BizTown Summer Camp - July Session: Northeast Region
Featuring: JA BizTown
JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary school students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. (Grades 4-6)
When: Monday, July 15, 2024 - Friday, July 19, 2024
At our JA BizTown Summer Camp, campers will jumpstart their journey into adulthood through daily lessons, hands-on activities, and team-building games. Camp Dates are June 17-21 OR July 15-19 (9am-3pm).
- Participants will spend the first four days of camp learning key economic concepts and work readiness skills that prepare them for the real world.
- On Friday, participants will put their learning to the test as they work together to run JA BizTown. They will operate a credit union, restaurant, city hall, and other businesses while experiencing firsthand the flow of an economy and community.
