La Crosse Area Executives Compete at Junior Achievement Event: JA Executive Business Challenge Increases Awareness Among Area Businesses

La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Waterfront-Cargill Room in La Crosse, Wisconsin will be the site of the 2024 Junior Achievement Executive Business Challenge where 48 community executives will compete to see who can run the most profitable virtual business.

The Executive Business Challenge uses JA Titan, a simulation program, that allows participants to run a virtual telecommunications company. During the fast-paced simulation, players make decisions about price, production, R&D, marketing, capital improvements, and corporate giving that pit their financial statements against those of other JA Titan competitors. The simulation mirrors a high school student competition that is implemented every spring in La Crosse, with the student winners advancing to a statewide scholarship competition in May of each year.

Amy Dupont, Public Relations and Tour Specialist at Kwik Trip, is the emcee. Heavy appetizers, beverages, and spirits, along with raffle prizes, will be available. Proceeds support Junior Achievement financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness classroom programming in the Coulee Region. Market and Johnson is the title sponsor of the event. Other sponsors of the event include Kwik Trip, Altra Federal Credit Union, Citizens State Bank, Coulee Bank, Bluff View Bank, State Bank, The Insurance Center, Trane, Trustpoint, and WNB Financial.
