Transportation and STEM Camp Offered by Junior Achievement
EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN. Registration is now open for high school students to attend the Junior Achievement Transportation and STEM Camp, July 22nd – 26th, 2024. The event will be held at the Chippewa Valley Technical College, 3810 Campus Road, in Eau Claire. The cost is $25 per student. Twenty-four spots are available.
The Five-day event, which runs from 9 AM to Noon each day, is designed to give students an overview of the careers available in the transportation & STEM fields. Students will spend 4 days at CVTC Transportation and Manufacturing Education centers, where they will learn about various programs the college has to offer, tour the facilities, meet faculty to ask questions on programs, and how to attend CVTC for this program. Students will also participate in a job shadow at Markquart Motors to learn about the career opportunities at a car dealership, learn the basics of how to buy and finance a car, and get a real-life view of on-the-job opportunities. A debriefing luncheon with parents ends the camp on the final day, with hands on experience, tours and opportunities to apply for college.
